1942 WC56 Dodge Command Car delivered to the Jackson Barracks
Military Museum. Massachusetts to Louisiana, a restoration completed by Brian Cook Restorations and the Fighting Iron Group. A 1942 WC-56 Command Car delivered to the museum located at the Jackson Barracks, New Orleans, LA, Home of the Louisiana National Guard. Completely destroyed during hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Jackson Barracks facility is under going a 125 million dollar renovation & restoration of the entire facility. Everything is new including a new museum which will contain 22,000 feet of exhibition space. The museum will be open to the public in the fall of 2011. The Dodge Command Car is the start of their WWII Military Vehicle display and hope to have ten operational vehicles for parades and fund raising events.
