"Old One Eye" started as the project
vehicle, but soon became the donor vehicle. Not evident in these pictures, the
rear was cut and extended to accommodate a drilling rig. At some point in its
history the track suffered a major front end collision (Picture 1).
Hard enough to buckle the frame on the driver's side (Picture 6) |

Rough from front to back, everything but the
frame is being heated, beaten, and massaged back into working condition.
Sand blasting the hood armor turned up some
original ID # stencils. Two different numbers can be seen. (Picture

Picture 15 & 16 are a tribute to a true craftsman, Dale Jones.
He helped fabricate or resurrect many unavailable or worn parts. These
pictures show the rear troop compartment door hinge and closure assembly. He
completely fabricated them from scratch using old drawings and pictures.
